Comfort food. We came for dining in here after many years. Eating hot naan and hot curries on a cold day is an experience in itself. Unanimous winner was Palak Paneer! My personal favorite is Baingan Bhartha. Unlike many other restaurants around, they dont use a lit of cream in their curries, so the curries taste flavorful. It is a small place, but could fit us a group of 6.

Chole Bhature 4 slightly sweet beans, fried naan Dahi Vada 4 yogurt, fried dough, raw onions Lamb Pasanda 5 tender, flavorful, creamy, yellow Fish Tikka 3 red, tender, medium juicy, not much flavor Mango Lassi 5

My husband was a little surprised, because he remembered the last time we ordered from here there were meat options. We ordered anyway and the food was pretty good. I am perfectly fine with only vegetarian options. We ordered normal spiciness which caught me off guard, but it was pretty good. I liked that the naan was a good portion. We ordered for pick up. There is a small seating area. There is a parking lot near other businesses off of El Camino in Sunnyvale near the border of Mountain View. Other than less selection on the menu, the food was pretty good and I would return for take-out with people who are fine with vegetarian-only options.

While prices have gone up (haven't they everywhere?), this is still our favorite Indian restaurant for take out. They used to be a bit more generous with their starches (especially the naan that came with the entrees), but I understand increased costs and the need to scale back a little. That said, I feel like Satkar is a still a solid value (for takeout) compared to other options. The quality of the food has remained high, and they seem as busy as ever before. If you call for take out, plan for 30 - 60 minutes before your food is ready... quality takes time, and I'm okay with that! If you eat here, plan on takeout only. They have two or three tables, but the customer area is quite small, and you probably won't be comfortable dining in with all the in and out of the takeout foot traffic.

Place was recommended to me by my general physician who is Indian. Phoned up August 12, 430pm and ordered $16 chicken korma, $16 chicken makhani, $14 bengan bhartha, each with a choice of naan or basmati rice. Took 50 minutes for my order to be ready at 522pm, and had to make a U turn onto bumper to bumper El Camino Real rush hour traffic 2 miles back to my house. The chicken korma and chicken makhani were curry dishes, spicy and full of flavors, with a decent amount of chicken. Went well over cooked cauliflower. The bengan bhartha is cooked eggplant, chopped and pulverized. Among the best eggplant dishes I have ever tasted, Indian or Chinese. Wife's favorite. Phoned up October19 430pm, and found out they were no longer serving meat dishes, only vegetarian dishes. Ordered the $14 bengan bhartha, the $14 Malai Kofa, and the $14 Navrattan Korma, the last two with plenty of vegetables in a spicy curry sauce. Combined them with the naan that came with the dishes. In the future, will order dishes from this place only after eating Costco chicken. Will combine the leftover rotisserie chicken breasts with the vegetarian curry dishes to satisfy my carnivore cravings.

I enjoy stopping by this place when I'm craving some fresh, piping hot, North Indian curries and bread(naan/ roti). Tried the chhole kulche and paneer bhurjee with roti. Food is yummy and service is very friendly and welcoming. They have plenty of parking but limited seating (indoor only). I also like karhai paneer. This is now a vegetarian only food joint!

Such a great little hole in the wall joint. I've heard some great reviews of this place and everything lived up to the hype. As a white guy I'll go for the basic indian dishes and they were on point. The butter chicken was amazing, it had a really good smokey flavor which I've never had before. It was great. The Aloo Gobi was great too. So much flavor We also got the garlic naan, so fresh and delicious. Had some good garlic flavor without being over powering. Definitely a new go-to Indian spot in Sunnyvale. Only a few small tables inside, seems like mostly a to-go place but you can sit inside if you really want. I think it's a family run business which is awesome. You can tell they really care about amazing food they tastes authentic.

This is a small location but the food has big flavor. I picked up a paneer wrap from here and it was great! The lady at the front was super nice. She seemed genuinely concerned that I asked for no spicy sauce and said she would pack some on the side just in case I changed my mind. They also cut and packed the wrap in two pieces to make it easier to eat which was very thoughtful. Appears to be family run which always gets extra points from me.
